William De Morgan (1839-1917) was one of the most famous designers of tiles from the Arts and Crafts movement, of which he was a founder member. William De Morgan: AnimalsOriginally designed in 1879, these stylised animals are available in green, red, manganese and blue. These are often used in combination with the De Morgan ‘flying leaves’ and are one of the more popular designs in the range. Each animal is outlined onto an engobe and decorated using individual brush strokes giving each animal its own unique character. Priced at £26.95 + VAT each, these tiles are 6" x 6" (152mm x 152mm) x 9mm thick. Ideal for general wall use or as fireplace tiles.
